Dreamweaver: My 101

Hi!

You've reached my new blog about my Dreamweaver class that I am taking this 2012 Spring Semester at Mesa Community College in Mesa, AZ.

I'm a little late on this assignment, so I'll just post about everything I've learned to date.

We've gotten through our textbook, so basically I should know a lot of about using Dreamweaver.  Here are the basics:
  • How to use Dreamweaver to create a basic website
  • How to create a form for your website
  • The difference between div and table containers
  • Using tables in your web site
  • Linking
  • Using the Files panel to link your website with your files on your computer
  • How to link your hosting service with your site on your local computer
  • How to upload your files to your host
  • How to make edits to your files and how you can share editing privileges with others by checking in and out site files.
There is definately a lot more to what we've learned, but that's the gist.

Currently, we are working on our final projects, which are websites.  We get to choose the subject matter for our site.  I have decided to create a site for a shop that my twin sister and I are opening up.  It includes a blog, Etsy shop, and a lot more.  Here is a draft of the site:

So, that is where I am at today.

Thanks for stopping by!
